December Dailey Day 6, 7 and 8

So here is how I recorded my story . Every little red tab you see has a my journaling behind it. You can either pull it out or flip it and there those are my feeling for that day.

December Daily Day 1,2 and 3

Just like you I am also so excited about this years December Dailey and yes my girl crush is totally Ali. She is so awesome in the way she inspires us to keep taking pictures and getting our stories down. Here we go. I ordered Ali's Kit this year and some extra stuff I had laying around from last years kit.

I wanted to keep it simple and easy because I tend to take a lot of pictures.

I saw this paper at paper tales and just loved it. So I got a couple sheets and I really liked how it looks under the transparency . 

Day 1 I spent most of the day at the park with Jack. I try and go on a two mile walk with him everyday. I love how through his eyes everything is new.

Day two my dad and I took Jack to the Train/tractor museum. I would usually never go to the tractor museum but since Jack came along I have really grown to love trains and tractors. The time spent with my dad is priceless .

I am going to write down 7 reasons why I love our weekly outings with my dad. I really like how this is coming along. 

Happy October

Happy October Peeps. Hi!! How exciting we all made it to October. I have big plans for this month. I made a little Pictober prompt for myself . There is so much going on when its close to the end of the year and I really want to make my Project Life come together so I need to help myself with some prompts . I also have done some other prompts and my journals for my blog and my own project Life does so much better. I will hash tag my pictures #pictober if you want to do the same ..that would be cool.. My Instagram name is creatingfreespirit if you want to fallow me. 

My number 1 is Me. That sounds funny. I mean my number 1 prompt is ME. Me is my family today. I really want to start every month with a picture of who ever is in the house. I have my 2 of my kids about 80 percent of the time. My oldest lives in her own apartment. Jack is with me all the time. So I want to do a family picture the first of every month that will be who ever is here that day. This month Poala my oldest had surgery. Her boy friend was here and that was who is in our first Family picture.  This feels like a great Idea. I am thinking we can take some fancy family pictures but for today this was my family and that is me. 

Some September Favorites

One thing I love is keeping up with my  Project Life. I love looking back and I love Becky Higgins . I am so happy that these amazing woman like Ali Edwards Becky have made it there lives passion to help us tell our story. I don't get crazy with my embellishments because life seems to go faster than what I can print and decorate. 

Layouts like this make me smile. Its simple my life. My teenagers and I went shopping and it was a day at the mall with my kids. I love my smile in the first picture. 

I am using my Studio calico kit for September . You can catch up its just a matter of a couple hours a week and simple is key. 

Rainbows and Hearts

I love things that have a story. She has a story. I painted her when I was feeling lost. I have always had a hard time trying to figure what to do first. You know those times when so many things are pulling at you. A huge part of you knows you are so lucky you are to have things going on but another part does not know which way to go. I needed something to ground me. I sat down to paint and she came out. She loves color and she holds on to those colors that make her happy and lets go of the rest. When things pull at me I am doing just what this girl does. I am letting go with out fear of things that do not call to me and holding on to those that do. I am putting my hands up high and letting the bright colors just be with me. Just thought I would share because this makes me happy.

Keepsake book love

We don't go to the movies or to see plays that often but I feel when we do I should record it. We have a big family and there is always some kind of activity so its hard to find the time and also have the energy . This goes for my teenagers. They must be growing again because there is a-lot of sleeping that goes on all the time. My kids are very tall for there age. So anyway the layout above was done in my homemade notebook. I went to see Straight out of Compton a while ago but I really wanted my husband to see it with  my son. I knew they would like it. It is a really good movie. I asked him if they would do a picture together in the photo booth and to my surprise they did it. I was really happy and surprised. On the left page I got a picture of my 3 boys. Jack was playing in his jumpy that he is to big for but still loves getting in. I took the picture right before they left. I thought Jack would appreciate seeing this one day. 

On this night my dad and I went to see a Sherlock Holmes Play. My dad and I share a common interest in theater. He is my best friend. I can't put into word how much I love him. He has never not been there. I feel I need to write this stuff down and I love that in a notebook like this I don't stress about how its going to turn out. I think a better way to say it is I feel I can be 14 just playing with my notebook and having fun. I tend to stress more with my project life album because I know my family will be all over it. In this little book its just me and fun. 

This is so true. I am consistently thinking about what I want or need and I have to bring myself back to I have everything I need.  The simple stuff is huge. I am grateful for the roof over my head food on  my table and healthy family. I also know that I am never alone.

We just got married. I mean really recently I am so grateful that this guy is such an amazing father to my kids. He is patient kind and just good. The most important thing for me is that my kids know that they are loved unconditionally and he does that.

so there you go. A-lot of rambling to go with my cute pages. I am sitting in my living room while Jack naps and its pouring rain outside in San Diego . Last week at this time it was 98 degrees. Crazy weather. Hope your having a great day.

Blue Bird Glass bead

I bought this necklace a long time ago. It look artistic or maybe eclectic is the word. It was colorful and it did not match exactly but I love it so. I decided I needed more necklaces like this one so I made  some.  I really love the colors and I feel like there fun. I made a couple extra and there going in my Etsy Shop. I used little vintage beads and I actually have the bird tattoo but mine is bigger.

Here is a little peek into my Keepsake Book.
 In this little pouch that was gifted to me years ago I keep a small home made book. A special pencil and a pen . A little tiny eraser and my cute purple scissors. If you have scissors and kids in the same house than you know how important it is to hide a couple pair so you know where they are. My purple ones live in here. I close this up put it  away so when I need it has everything 

There are so many things about this that makes me smile. This is the part of scrap booking that brings me right back to being a teenager.  I started keeping a little something about really special dates that I do not want to forget about in here. This is my Keepsake's book. I only have  a couple pages filled out in this one but everyone makes me smile. It takes me back to a very special day.
Page 1. My daughter and I on a movie date. She is a reader and she loves book. I know what a blessing. She read Paper Town and wanted to go see the movie so we did. We had a really nice date night. We held hands because when your 12 it is still ok to hold your moms hand. I did not want to forget that special feeling of just hanging out with my daughter. I used mostly my Studio Calico Stuff.

Page 2. I love going to the Land Mark Theatre. It is about a 45 minute drive from my house but once in a while that does not seem to far. I love watching independent movies that catch my eye. I love going alone. Sometimes I need to just be alone and I try and take a mini date with myself at least once a month. I grab dinner and a flick. As a mother of four time alone is gift I give myself with the help of my husband the babysitter. 

Page 3. Here we go. Date night with my son . He is 14 so he does not really want to go out with me until we go out. Does your teen ager do that ? We went to go see the movie Vacation and we both loved it. My son and I are so much alike and he looks just like me so we also have the same kind of humor. We laughed a-lot. I wrote about our similarities behind the little noted paper on the left page. I also kept the win free movie coupon because we won a free small pop corn and this made him really happy.
THis book serves a purpose bigger than just keeping memories. It is therapeutic for me to make it. I can see LOVE in this book and there are days when I don't feel so happy so looking at it brightens my day. You can get a note book just like this one here.   Have a wonderful day. 

My feelings on A week in the Life

Here it is. I decided to take some pictures of my album. I am really glad I took the time to do this. I am happy to be in love with all things Ali Edwards. The lesson that I take away from this are: 

• Those moments that took place during the week will never happen again. 
• Even if we have coffee everyday it is really never the same. 
• Every day is different and we could say how boring or we could say it is a little magical. 
• Here we are capturing the magic. 
• Taking the time to let our grandchildren one day how we drink our coffee. 
• Here we are taking the time capture our feelings and giving our selves some much needed love. 

I love how this is a type of pampering. It can be work but, man, it's good work. I, like so many women, look at everyone'd books and some part of me wishes mine was better. I am a girl and that's what we do, compare. But here is another great lesson in accepting our effort and accepting our vision and knowing that mine is just fine. I like that it is simple but that I took the time thanks to Ali to writing down what I needed too. I wrote the simple stories of my life that make it mine. I wrote about how 3 days a week it is only Jack and I and we have scrambled eggs with grilled onions and tomatoes. I wrote about how much my 2 year old loves grilled veggies. I wrote about how the first day of school left me in tears because my children are growing up and I am just so proud. I wrote about my relationship with Mike and how blessed I feel to have someone who loves me and my children more than anything. All theses things are in this little book with pictures of each moment. My story is here and I am very grateful for that. All of this is special and means a lot more than I think we let ourselves believe. Thank You Ali because every time I take the time to do this I heal a little. I love a little bit more too but, more importantly, I am made aware of how blessed I really am.
